A Tulsa Wedding...and a Baby!
How they met
"We met through a mutual friend! One of my college friends moved to Tulsa when we graduated college, and I met him when I came to visit after graduation. Years later we reconnected after another visit and hit it off. He came to see me in California to take me on a date, and after a year of long distance I moved to Tulsa with him and the rest is history!"
A moment to relive
"Entering our wedding reception was such a surreal moment! We did a t-shirt toss later in the reception (we love merch and made our own for the bridal party) and standing on the chairs looking around at all our friends and family having a blast was a highlight for both of us. We took several moments throughout the night to take a step back and soak it in!"
Finding the dress
"I was set that I wanted a fit and flare, and thought I had my decision made. On a whim, I asked if the salon had any strapless A-line dresses with a slit, and they pulled out MP and I instantly knew it was the one. It was fate that they had exactly what I was looking for, and I was the first bride to order that dress!"
Quotes to remember
"Our best man gave a speech and reflected on the moment he knew I was his friend. At a very intense Chiefs v Bills NFL game he said, “...after hours of yelling in his face, with what can only be described as a bear fighting a giraffe” and to this day, no one knows why he said that but it got a laugh out of everyone and people still ask about. It made the wedding video and all. We should have taken the microphone away before he hit 8 minutes!"
Baby, its a wedding
"My best friend and maid of honor gave birth to her first baby on our wedding day! She flew to Tulsa from Raleigh after being cleared by her OB and after some travel hiccups she finally arrived right before our rehearsal dinner. Like a scene out of a movie, her water broke right after dinner. She had her baby around 8 am the next day on wedding day, four weeks earlier than expected! Her and her husband stayed with us the week after the wedding with their new baby which was so special and we now call May 13 the best day ever and we love that we have this crazy story! We are big planners but never could have planned this!
