From Study Sessions to Soulmates

How did you meet?
"My husband and I met in college, it's my favorite story to tell. We were both biology majors- we were in the same classes all four years so we knew of each other. He is the smartest man I have ever met, so naturally one day I asked him to study.
He came over and we talked about everything except our immunology exam. We talked about life, our dreams, what we think happens when we die, and our childhoods. I had never connected with someone on a soul-to-soul level before!
He left my apartment and I said to my roommate, "I don't know how or when, but I'm going to marry that man one day".
My roommate rolled her eyes but she was right to be suspicious...

2 years later...
"Matthew and I did not speak again for another two years besides seeing each other in class.
Finally, senior year he asked me to join this class we were both interested in. I dropped my pottery class and took it!
We've been inseparable ever since.
Five years later, we had a magical wedding in Italy.
Every move we have made since has brought us closer together, and everything has always worked out like it was meant to be. "

Where did you get married?
"We got married in northern Italy on a little fishing island called Monte Isola on Lake Iseo. The Castello Oldofredi was a beautiful
wedding destination. The rooms were each unique with their individual Italian charm.
Their team was amazing to work with, there wasn't anything they wouldn't or couldn't do for us. All fifty-five of my guests
were perfectly comfortable and impressed with the Castello's food, wine, and cocktails.
The best part was the breathtaking bridal suite. The chandelier was exquisite. Getting ready I felt the excitement and hopes
of all the brides-to-be in every crown-molding and gold fixture. "

The colors
"My color scheme was different bright pastels!
I had six girls in my wedding party and I worked very hard to make sure every girl's skin tone and hair matched perfectly
with their dress. I wanted them to feel just as confident and comfortable and I was in mine.
While I was planning I was picturing something so colorful it hurt. Having every girl in a different color made sure each of them looked beautiful in their own right and way and were special.
Each of the women in my bridal party are so special to me and have come into my life in different ways all leaving their mark on me and (not to quote Wicked BUT) have changed me for good. "
Finding the dress
"Choosing my gown was not a terribly difficult process.
I have always known what I wanted to feel like on my wedding day. Something timeless, classic, and something
Matthew was going to love.
I was also going to need something that wouldn't be too heavy but a fabric that was not just another white dress with
thin material, something bridal.
Antonio Gual had been on my radar for a few months, I was very interested in the clean classic designs with the beautiful light but bridal fabric of the mikado.
I was down to two gowns from Antonio Gual, the Rileigh and the Preston. Then I heard the best news that I could combine the designs and get the top of the Preston with the skirt of the Rileigh!
I was instantly sold. The dress made me feel so confident and I knew it was perfect to marry my soulmate in."

The moment.
"The night before my wedding, I slept for four hours.
Despite going to bed early, I couldn't sleep. I was so excited! It was like every single Christmas and birthday I had ever had in my life.
The morning of, I was more nervous, nauseous, and hoping everything would go exactly to plan.
The MOMENT I put on my dress, all of my nausea and worries faded away.
The moment I was zipped up, the way I had felt in that dress in the bridal shop came flooding back to me. I was ready, stepping into my new life as a wife all thanks to Antonio Gual.
And my photographers captured the perfect photo of exactly how I felt."
A quote
"A quote from the speeches that has really stayed with me is an excerpt from my father's speech.
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been a daddy's girl. Every father-daughter dance and speeches at weddings always make me cry.
My dad is the most important and influential man in my life. He has worked incredibly hard, a true story of the American dream and I couldn't be more grateful and honored he gave my husband and I the wedding of our dreams.
During his speech about my husband and I he shared: 'From her first steps to the day, she walked into the arms of her soulmate, the journey prepared her for this moment. As she blossomed into the incredible woman she is today, finding her love in Matthew, my heart swells with pride. To witness the love that has grown between them is truly magical.'"
