Pastels, Petals & Pure Love

How did you meet?
"Holden and I have been friends for about 10 years. We knew each other in high school through mutual friends but didn't start dating until 2017. We have been together for almost 8 years and married just over 1 year. We've experienced so many stages of life including college and long distance. It has all been so great!"
The venue
"We got married in downtown Birmingham, AL.
We are both from Birmingham, so it is a very special place for us!
The rehearsal dinner was at The Club, Inc. where we enjoyed a beautiful evening overlooking the city with our friends and family.
Our ceremony was at First United Methodist Church
and our reception was at The Florentine Building
in their breathtaking ballroom."
Their color scheme
"My color scheme was a mix of spring pastels!
Blue, pink, peach, lilac, sage green, and so much more!
The flowers were the focal point of our wedding so I chose
neutral and complimentary linens, accent pieces, napkins, etc. based on the flower arrangements.
My bridesmaids wore a beautiful ballet pink which tied
in perfectly to our spring pastel color scheme."
The Dress.
"I went into gown shopping having a very good idea of
what I wanted. I tried on numerous styles and options, but I couldn't stop thinking about my vision.
I saw a similar version of my gown on Instagram and thought about it for months. When I went to Ivory and White, I was welcomed by an incredible stylist, Lauriston.
She was so kind, calming, and made the process so easy! I was worried about making the wrong choice as I am an indecisive person, but when I put on my dress, I didn't want to take it off!
So I knew it was the one! I had an incredible experience.
Choosing my dress is a memory I will cherish forever!"
A moment to remember
"I honestly don't think I can choose just one thing! Our ceremony was so special and sweet. We took communion which was very important to us and we are so glad we could share that experience with our guests. I would also love to relive our first dance.
My husband, Holden, suggested our first dance song years ago before we were even engaged! So that moment is very significant to us.
And of course, I'd love to relive the reception! There were so many details I envisioned that came to life beautifully thanks to my coordinators and vendors! We had champagne with rock candy to match our spring pastel color scheme.
Our food was classic southern cuisine ranging from shrimp and grits to a late night pass of buffalo chicken sliders.
My cake was buttercream with a raspberry filling and Holden's cake was chocolate fudge, both were to die for!
His cake was Auburn themed as we both graduated from Auburn University.
Our band, Creativity, was incredible - there was never a dull moment!
We had so much fun with our wedding party, guests, and family. We wish we could relive the entire day!"
