"While our wedding was a destination wedding, we flew in all vendors local to our hometown in south Louisiana. It was very important to us to bring in vendors we trusted completely to execute the day perfectly, down to every single detail. Most vendors were college friends of Josh and I, and having them there to celebrate with us and take part in our wedding made the weekend even more special. There is so much passion, creativity, and talent within our small local area, and we loved being able to collaborate and showcase their talents together on the big day."
"Our wedding was outdoor in the mountains with guests in formal attire and our color scheme was all things PINK. With planning a destination wedding, I wanted to minimize the amount of decorations needed and use the florals to highlight the day and bring in the pop of color. Our florals were designed by very dear friends of ours, Reesa and TerriLynn Gravois-Arabie with RGA Floral Atelier. Together, we labeled our vision as a "pink tie affair" which tied in the glamour I wanted in the mountain setting while offering a feminine flair. Even as guests attending our wedding, they were able to manage time and create the florals of our dreams, bringing the vision to reality."
"Josh and I wanted an intimate destination wedding that would offer a unique and memorable experience for our closest family and friends. Living in south Louisiana, we travel to Colorado every year for hiking or snow skiing, and it's one of our favorite vacation spots. Last year we stayed at Viceroy Snowmass in Snowmass Village, Colorado for our winter ski trip and knew it was the perfect spot for our wedding. Viceroy Snowmass offers high-end luxury, breathtaking views of the mountains, delicious food and drink, and they truly prioritize the guest experience. This venue kept all of our wedding needs and activities "in house" and provided an on-site coordinator who was in constant communication with us throughout the months leading up to the wedding to make sure every detail was perfect."
"I found my dress at I Do Bridal Couture in Covington, Louisiana. I Do Bridal was highly recommended by a few friends and it was the first place I set up a bridal appointment. I brought along my mom, sister, mother-in-law and a few very close friends. I went into my appointment knowing exactly what I wanted- a simple, timeless gown with elements of fun and femininity. I walked in showing I Do a picture of Antonio Gual's MP gown from Pinterest, wanting something similar in style. When they told me they carried the exact dress, I was ecstatic. It was the first dress I tried on and no other dresses compared. Finding my dream dress and buying the first dress I tried on was by far the easiest part of the wedding planning process! Most importantly, I wanted a dress I could hike, dance in, and be comfortable in all day long. Antonio Gual's MP gown met all of those needs and there was truly no other dress that came close to what I was looking for!"
"If we could relive one moment from our wedding day, we would relive hiking through Maroon Bells in White River National Forest before the ceremony on our wedding day.
We privately recited our wedding vows in a secluded location within the forest with a stunning view of the mountains.
Being able to spend the entire wedding day together doing something we both enjoy before the ceremony eased our nerves and helped us truly be present with each other on the big day and savor every moment."
