A Charleston Wedding to Remember

How they met
"September 2020, we both had just purchased our first homes less than a mile from each other. We met at a cute little bodega restaurant in the middle and talked for hours. (Thank you, bumble!)"

Their venue and colors
"Lowndes Grove in Charleston, SC!
I’m a big neutral girl, we added in some blush, soft pinks and peachy tones with creamy whites and tan.
With the sun setting on the water, it was such a dream!"
One moment to relive
"Walking down the aisle and seeing nothing but my future husband, so cliché but it really was the most giddy feeling.
We didn’t know if hurricane Helene was going to alter our outdoor wedding plans so when the sun cast this glow over us as we were walking, it was like alright, this is it, you can breathe now."
Finding her dream gown...
"I think I went to about 4-5 fittings and after the second, had a pretty good idea of what I wanted.
I searched Pinterest and google to try and find what I was envisioning, off the shoulder, form fitted through the waist and hips, and big wedding dress vibes at the bottom!
That’s when I found my dress, lucky enough a shop in Charleston had it. My mom, sister and I had drinks before going to see it in person and I put it on and just danced and cried.
It was magical, when you know, you know!"

A special quote
"I quoted my father in law in my vows, he used to be a teacher and coach and has a lot of good sayings. I looked right at him during our vows and said “a wise man once said, TTT, things take time, then looked at my husband and said “you were well worth the wait”."

Congratulations to the happy couple! Lily is wearing the 'Sonnia' gown. To see more of Sonnia: Sonnia Gown
