What inspired you to open your store?
"There were no high end bridal shops that offered an intimate experience anywhere in the state of Mississippi.
I get very overwhelmed shopping so I really created Elle James to be exactly what I wanted out of my wedding dress shopping experience - an intimate, laid back space where knowledgeable stylists helped guide me to my wedding dress."
What makes your store unique?
"Our experience and knowledgeable stylists that truly are here to serve you and your loved ones. We LOVE bridal and all things weddings but at the root of it we just love serving others and strive to do that at the very highest level every single day."
What is the best advice you would give a bride looking for her dress?
"Trust your stylist and be honest with them!
They are in bridal appointments every day and see the dresses in their shop on all body types.
If they suggest you try on something that is not exactly what you are looking for at least try it on. It's okay if you don't love it - It is not going to hurt their feelings I promise!
It will help guide them to what your dream dress is though!
Giving your stylist feedback whether it's positive or negative is super helpful!"
What type of bride do you cater to?
"Truly a wide range! Being in Mississippi our most popular is classic, southern traditional. We are also known for having cutting edge, more fashion forward designers for the bride that is a fashion lover!"
What do you enjoy most about working with the Antonio Gual team & what is your favorite gown?
"They are so knowledgeable and quick to help us with any custom request we may have! We love the Grace gown!"
What is your favorite time of year in your city and why?
"Fall!! The weather is perfect 60/70s for 2-3 weeks, football has started, and everyone is happy to be back in a routine after summer. It feels like everyone is thriving late September/early October and football season along with holidays coming up make for a lot of fun events."
