What inspired you to open your store?
"At the time I opened Gilded, there weren't a lot of shops around focusing on smaller, independent designers.
I wanted to bring fun, fresh bridal to Raleigh while providing an intimate, friendly experience."
What makes your store unique?
"We are a small, close-knit team of three with a wealth of knowledge in
bridal and fashion, and we are committed to creating a safe, fun, and inclusive
environment where all brides are truly welcome."
What is the best advice you would give a bride looking for her dress?
"Do a little bit of research before you choose the boutique
you want to shop at:
Looking for plus size sample gowns?
A specific style or designer?
Make sure the place you land has what you are looking for, then bring 1-3 peeps who will support you
with positivity and excitement!"
What is your favorite Antonio Gual dress?
"Rachel is still my favorite.
The fit is impeccable, the neckline flattering on every figure, and the fabric has such a beautiful drape through the skirt!"
What do you enjoy most about working with the Antonio Gual team?
"It would be easier to ask me what I don't enjoy! The Antonio Gual team is such a delight to work with.
They make customizations easy, and work with us as partners to ensure that our brides are happy.
They truly care about both their brides and their retailers, and will bend over backwards to support them."
What do you suggest brides do in your city?
"Hummingbird is an all time favorite personal spot!
We love to send brides to Vidrio as well for a celebratory cocktail, as it is just a block or so from Gilded.
The North Carolina Museum of Art, along with a visit to the local flea market, would make for a lovely weekend day in Raleigh."
